Reclaiming Willow Counseling LLC

I grew up with a Willow Tree in my backyard. It was something that gave me peace and fun childhood memories. After the loss of my dad in 2015, the Willow Tree became a symbol of more. The Willow Tree symbolizes inner strength and resilience. It is my belief that we all carry this within us, sometimes we just need a little help reclaiming that strength we once knew.

Philosophy

Trauma
Life can be incredibly difficult when you feel you're living every moment in fear. Your body struggles to find calm and you notice yourself feeling on edge all the time. Trauma is relative and is not always explained by big, loud, obvious events. Trauma has a way of bleeding into every other part of our life and clouding how we see and understand the world.
At Reclaiming Willow Counseling we prioritize a holistic approach that focuses on providing real skills and coping tools to address trauma symptoms in the moment while reflecting and processing the root causes for these feelings as well.

Anxiety
Where trauma exists, anxiety often follows. You may find yourself caught in obsessive thought patterns, constantly on edge, or living with a nervous system that remains in survival mode, signaling danger even when you're safe. Sometimes, the source of that fear is clear. Other times, you may not know why you feel this way.
At Reclaiming Willow, we understand that anxiety is often more than just worry, it can be your mind and body responding to unresolved experiences. Together, we'll identify effective strategies to regulate your nervous system, process what's keeping you stuck, and build coping skills that help you regain a sense of calm and control. Our goal is to help you move beyond simply managing anxiety so it no longer feels like it's controlling your life.

Grief Counseling
Grief is a deeply personal journey that can follow the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a role, a dream, or even a way of life. There is no "right" way to grieve, and no timeline you have to follow. Grief can bring waves of sadness, anger, guilt, numbness, or loneliness, often affecting both your emotional and physical well-being.
At Reclaiming Willow, we provide a compassionate, supportive space where you can process your loss at your own pace. Whether your grief is recent or something you've carried for years, we're here to help you make sense of your emotions, honor your experience, and find meaningful ways to move forward while carrying the love and memories that matter most. You don't have to navigate grief alone.
